	Manistee National Forest is located in Michigan’s west central region, and is bordered to the east by Cadillac, and to the west by Manistee and Ludington. Route 131 runs along the east side of the forest and Route 31 runs along the west side.

Airport Information

The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is located approximately 90 miles south of the Manistee National Forest. 8 airlines provide about 130 daily flights and non-stop flights to 16 major destinations such as Dallas/Ft. Worth, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Atlanta. An alternative option is the Muskegon County Airport located southwest of the forest. Northwest Airlines and Midwest Airlines provide service to the airport. Non-stop flights are available to Detroit and Milwaukee providing connecting flights to almost every major destination in the nation.
